2016 Primary Election Candidate Ratings and Endorsements

SEAMEC has been interviewing, researching, and ratings candidates for public office for 39 years, but there’s always something new in politics.

Will Seattle have its first openly Gay Congressman? Will the 43rd Legislative District choose another LGBT House member?  Will political control of the state shift to forces openly hostile to our interests? All these critical issues are on the table and will depend on your votes.

This makes SEAMEC’s work even more important. We hope you find our 2016 Primary Election guide useful.

If you do, please help us to continue to do this important work.

A donation of $35 will buy 75 stamps to help us send out our election ratings; $50 will pay for 10 days of office rent; $100 will pay for candidate interview packets; $150 will buy 500 candidate rating sheets to distribute to the community before elections; $175 pays for our PO Box for the year. We now accept donation online through PayPal.

As a SEAMEC supporter, you can be proud of the fact that SEAMEC does so much with so little. We don’t have paid staff or a fancy office, but with your help we can have a big impact.

Thanks for your support. Remember to send in your ballot by August 2.

The SEAMEC Board: Manuel Venegas (Chair), Mike Andrew, David Booth, Jim Irish, Herb Krohn, Herman Wong, J. Wong.
